Mobile wallets bury recurring charges in a menu most people never open. Apple Pay calls them Preauthorized Payments; Google Pay puts them under Wallet & subscriptions. Here's exactly where to tap on each — and how to pull every one into a single list.

Apple Pay: Preauthorized Payments

As of iOS 26, Apple Wallet keeps a dedicated list of recurring payments you've authorized through Apple Pay.

  1. Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the More button (the three dots).
  3. Tap Preauthorized Payments.
  4. Tap any merchant to see the amount, schedule, and card used.
Important
This list lets you view recurring charges, but Apple is explicit that to stop being charged you should manage the payment with the merchant directly — on their site or app. The Wallet list is a discovery tool, not a cancel button.

Google Pay: Wallet & subscriptions

Google ties recurring payments to your Google Account, so you can review them from your phone or any browser.

  1. Open Google Pay, or sign in to your Google Account.
  2. Go to Wallet & subscriptions (on some screens it appears as Payments & subscriptions).
  3. Tap Manage subscriptions, Manage purchases, or Manage reservations.
  4. Review recurring payments, past purchases, and reservations tied to your account.

Because it's account-based, you can do this on desktop too — useful if you want to scan the full list on a bigger screen.

Each wallet shows only its own charges — combining them is the missing step

The gap: wallets only show their own charges

Here's the catch most guides skip. Apple Pay and Google Pay only list subscriptions that were set up through that wallet. Plenty of recurring charges never touch either:

So checking one wallet gives you a partial picture at best. To know your real monthly total, you need to gather charges from every source into one place.

Pull every subscription into one list

As you find charges in Apple Pay, Google Pay, your statement, and email, add them to SubScan. It runs entirely in your browser and shows your combined monthly and yearly total.

A reliable order to check

  1. Apple Pay → Wallet › Preauthorized Payments (iPhone users).
  2. Google Pay → Wallet & subscriptions › Manage subscriptions.
  3. App Store / Google Play → store-account subscriptions (many media and app subs live here, not in the wallet).
  4. PayPal → automatic payments, if you ever pay with it.
  5. Card statement → scan three months for anything the steps above missed.
  6. Add each one to SubScan as you go, so nothing slips through the cracks.

Frequently asked questions

Where does Apple Pay show my subscriptions?

In the Wallet app, tap More, then Preauthorized Payments. This lists merchants you've set up recurring billing with through Apple Pay. Tap a merchant for details. To actually stop a charge, manage it with the merchant directly.

Where does Google Pay show my subscriptions?

Open your Google Account or Google Pay, go to Wallet & subscriptions (sometimes Payments & subscriptions), then Manage subscriptions. You'll also see recurring payments and purchases tied to your account.

Why don't all my subscriptions show up there?

The wallets only show charges set up through that wallet. Anything billed straight to your card, through PayPal, or through a store account won't appear under preauthorized payments. A single combined list is more reliable than checking one wallet.

How do I see every subscription without linking my bank?

Use SubScan. Add each subscription you find from any source and it shows your combined monthly and yearly total. Nothing is uploaded — all data stays in your browser.
