Bark monitors kids' messages, screen time, and apps. If you're stepping away, cancellation is done from the Account section once you're signed in - but where you originally subscribed (Bark directly vs. the Apple App Store) changes where the cancel button lives. Below are the verified steps, plus what happens to your child's device and your stored data.
Before canceling, remove the Bark Kids app from your child's iOS or Android device. Skip this step only if you're on a Bark Phone or Bark Watch plan, which are managed differently.
Log in to your Bark account (web or app) and tap Account, then scroll down through the settings.
Choose 'Cancel my account.' You'll keep access to Bark until the end of the period you've already paid for - there's no immediate cutoff.
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, the cancel button may not appear in Bark's dashboard. Tap 'Manage Apple subscription' and finish the cancellation through Apple's settings on your iPhone or iPad.
Once your access ends, Bark deletes your payment information. After 15 days, all other account data is purged.
Forgot you were even paying for this? You are probably paying for others too. SubScan adds up every subscription, flags what you have stopped using, and ranks your fastest savings - so you cancel the right ones and they do not creep back. Everything stays on your device: no bank login, no account, no upload.
Start your free auditYes. Bark remains active until the end of your current paid subscription period, then access ends.
That usually means you subscribed through the Apple App Store. Use the 'Manage Apple subscription' link and cancel via Apple's settings instead.
Hardware plans are managed separately from the standard monitoring subscription. Open Account and look for the plan-management option for your device, or contact Bark support.
